CLP predicted to hold two seats - what happens with a party of two when both want to be leader?

If neither wants to be leader, I think it puts CLP-turned-independent and post-2012 election Chief Minister Terry Mills in the box seat and would have the CLP by the balls! If he rejoined the CLP and became leader he would have negotiated to have far more sway over the direction of the CLP than ever before! Or perhaps the two CLP members might elect Mills as an independent to be opposition leader, who knows! Either way, it would be the perfect twist to a drama that even Hollywood would have struggled to come up with. Timeshift (talk) 06:58, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

Gary Higgins as CLP leader - leadership ballot, or decided by CLP HQ?

Looking at the available sources[1][2][3] it seems to implicitly indicate that the decision was made by CLP HQ rather than by leadership ballot (whatever that would look like with two MPs anyway). The CLP organisation released a statement as to who would take on the CLP leadership and therefore the opposition leadership, with no mention of a leadership ballot by MPs. Was no ballot conducted, and if not, and was instead decided by CLP HQ, that is something unique which ideally should be expanded on in the appropriate article area(s).
