editOpposed, I think the pre-tournament matches belong on the Four Nations page. Mattlore (talk) 21:25, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- I think the association between those matches and the Four Nations tournament is weak (and difficult to cite), especially the earlier ones. In previous years any number of internationals preceding a major tournament could be considered "pre-tournament" and included in the article, but haven't been and rightly so.--Jeff79 (talk) 22:11, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- The Mt Smart double-header was a week before the tournament and involved England and New Zealand, who had assembled there squads just for the Four Nations. I think the links are pretty clear. Also, if you look at last years tournament, the article includes two pre-tournament matches, and rightly so. Mattlore (talk) 23:07, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- I agree those two alone can be included, but definitely above the main rounds (as the word "pre" would suggest). However the other matches' association isn't there so they should be moved.--Jeff79 (talk) 23:26, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
- I think there might be a strong argument for keeping the PNG v Ipswich match as well; weekend before tournament, PNG was in Australia for there first match, etc, etc. The other two matches however, could probably be removed. Mattlore (talk) 23:42, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
