2 Points Margin for Svindal edit

I would like to inform about Overall deciding (I do it cit. the German Wikipedia, but I know it by myself too):

Like two years before, in general, it was a deciding by a hair's breadth (and anew with Mr. Svindal and Mr. Raich). Before the last race, the Slalom at Åre, Benjamin Raich was two points behind Aksel Lund Svindal: In general, Raich had to finish better than Svindal (and to achieve the 15th place). But the Austrian, who was the first starter of the first leg did make a mistake after a few seconds (maybe 20 or 25 seconds) and was out of the race. Therefore Svindal was the Overall winner from that moment. It didn't matter that Svindal also couldn't finish. Calculation in percents says that Raich did achieve 99.80 percents comparing to the 100 percent of the winner 213.225.13.201 (talk) 15:26, 3 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

New start order for Speed disciplines edit

I would like to cit. the German Wikipedia:

Only two years after changing the order of start another one was established, and also the Super-G was included. Main reason for changing was that method of reversing the "World Cup Starting List" ("WSCL"), wasn't fair: The best racers of the world had to start with the highest numbers in the top 30, because snow conditions did deteriorate sharply. To be sure, on the other hand, for TV-broadcasting it was (and is still) better if deciding of races is late. It was to make out a scheme to satisfy wishes of the racers and of the TV-broadcasting (within sponsors). Now, the top thirty ones were divided into three groups. Best seven of the "WCSL" had to start between 16 and 22, followed by the next best seven (from 9 to 15); the other ones were to award with bib numbers from one to eight and from 23 to 30. A draw had to determine each order of start in those groups. - That new scheme was used until the season 2015/16. Up from the season 2016/17 another scheme was established. 213.225.13.201 (talk) 16:34, 3 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
