Does anyone know which manufacturer of this tube makes the most reliable 12AU7 (or whether they're pretty much the same). I need to replace two tubes on a Fender Cyber Twin Amplifier.

30 kHz frequency limit statement edit

The 30 kHz frequency limit statement makes absolutely no sense. I checked the referenced Brimar application report, and it refers to a 2 stage capacitively coupled audio amplifier without negative feedback (besides the dc biasing) optimized for gain. So the 30 kHz 1dB point is a statement about this circuit NOT about the tube, which is perfectly fine to operate up to the VHF range in a proper circuit, and was used in the MHz range in 100s of applications especially in the IF sections of TV sets from the 50s and 60s (https://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_ecc82.html see models) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.11.28.126 (talk) 21:06, 20 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
