The symbols of Colotlán, Mexico, were officially adopted as symbols of the municipality in 2023.
Coat of arms
editThis is the coat of arms of the municipality of Colotlán. Its meaning is “Alongside the scorpions” and it is represented by a crown at the top and a scorpion in the center of the heraldic field; the meaning comes from the Nahuatl language.

The flag of Colotlán consists of a red rectangle with a ratio of four to seven; in the center it bears the Municipal Coat of arms in gold, placed in such a way that it occupies three-quarters of the width.[1]
