Station layout

The station consists of one ground-level side platform serving a single bi-directional track. The station is not attended.

History

The station opened on 17 June 1921 as Kamihongō Station (上本郷駅). It was renamed to its present name in 1965.

Station numbering was introduced in August 2016 with Shiodamachi being assigned station number BE11.[1][2]

In fiscal 2015, the station was used by an average of 157 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[3]
