Sheeba Ameer is an Indian social activist and writer from Thrissur, Kerala, India. In 2000, Ameer founded SOLACE,[1] a non-profit organization providing support to children with cancer and their families in Kerala.[2][3] SOLACE offers financial assistance, emotional support, and practical help. The organization also works to raise awareness about cancer,[4] and advocate for better cancer care in Kerala.

Awards and recognition edit
Ameer received the CNN IBN Real Heroes Award in 2011.[5]
She was also awarded[when?] the Abhijith Foundation Award for Best Social Worker in Kerala,[1] and the Vanita Ratnam Award in 2017.[4]
