Sedigheh Vasmaghi (born 1961; Persian: صدیقه وسمقی) is an Iranian lawyer, poet and reformist politician.[1] From 1999 to 2003, she was a member of the City Council of Tehran and served as the first spokesperson of the council.[2] She is described as a "post-Islamist activist and intellectual".[3]

In 2023, she addresses an open letter to the leader Ali Khameini where she affirms that the Quran does not justify the obligation to wear the hijab.[4]
In a statement signed by 15 religious Intellectuals, she supports Abdolhamid Ismaeelzahi sunni cleric who is facing crackdown because of his criticism against the iranian regime during the Mahsa Amini protests.[5]
