Roy Schwartz (born December 5, 1975) is an American entrepreneur and author, known for co-founding and serving as President of Axios. He is also the executive producer of Axios on HBO, an Emmy award-winning documentary series.[1][2]

Early life and education
editSchwartz was born in Israel on December 5, 1975. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business in 1998 and completed his M.B.A. from the same institution in 2001.[3]
Career
editSchwartz began his career at the Gallup Organization as a business development and marketing partner in 2003. Later he joined Politico as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development in 2008.[4] He was later promoted to Chief Revenue Officer, a position he held until June 2016.[5][6][7]
In July 2016, he co-founded Axios with Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen, a media company focused on news and insights across business, politics, technology, and other sectors, which Cox Enterprises later acquired for $525 million.[8][9] He currently serves on the board of Axios Media and as CEO of Axios HQ.[10].
