Randamoozham (2024 film)

Randamoozham, also known as, Mahabharatha, is an upcoming 2024 Malayalam-language drama film starring the film stars Mohanlal and Amitabh Bachchan as the main lead role. The film is adapted from the novel Randamoozham [1].

In 2011, The director Hariharan planned to adapt Randamoozham to screen, which was scripted by M. T. Vasudevan Nair himself with Mohanlal cast to play Bhima.[2][3] Later, V. A. Shrikumar Menon took the project again with Mohanlal in the lead, it was announced in April 2017 that the film adaptation would be produced by B. R. Shetty.[4] The film was ideally known to be India's biggest ever motion picture, with an investment of Rs 1000 crore.[5]

Controversy edit

During the COVID-19, plans for the movie have since been shelved after M. T. Vasudevan Nair was upset with the pace at which the film was progressing and demanded Srikumar Menon return the script.[6][7]

Release edit

The film is planned to complete its production and release in 2024.
