Rachel Gilmour is a British Liberal Democrat politician who was elected MP for Tiverton and Minehead in the 2024 United Kingdom general election.[1]

She was a member of Taunton Deane Borough Council.[2]

Early life

Gilmour grew up on the Somerset–Devon border and won a scholarship to attend Cheltenham Ladies' College. Gilmour attended St John's Primary School in Wellington.[2] She is the daughter of the former rugby player David Wrench.[2] She studied law at SOAS University of London and English literature at King's College London.[3]

Career

In the 2015 United Kingdom general election, Gilmour contested Taunton Deane to succeed Jeremy Browne.[4] She unsuccessfully stood in two earlier general elections.[2]
