Quinn Schulte (born October 18, 2000) is an American football safety for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Early life and high school

Schulte attended high school at Xavier located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Coming out of high school, Schulte decided to join the Iowa Hawkeyes as a preferred walk-on.[1][2]

College career

In Schulte's first collegiate season in 2019, he would use the season to redshirt where he did not see any game action.[3] During the 2020 season, Schulte appeared in three games where he made three tackles.[4] In week five of the 2021 season, Schulte recorded his first career interception in a blowout win over Maryland.[5] Schulte finished the 2021 season playing in 12 games and tallying two tackles and an interception.[6] In the 2022 season, Schulte started in all 13 games for Iowa, where he notched 71 tackles, six pass deflections, and an interception.[7][8] In week eleven of the 2023 season, Schulte intercepted a pass off of quarterback Gavin Wimsatt which he returned to the nine yard line, helping Iowa beat Rutgers.[9] During the 2023 season, Schulte started in all 14 games for the Hawkeyes, totaling 65 tackles, four pass deflections, and an interception.[10][11]
