• 1991 - A cargo ship went missing in the south-west Indian Ocean during Cyclone Bella, with 36 people onboard.
• 1992 - Hurricane Ekeka (pictured) reached hurricane strength to the south of Hawaii, at a latitude of 6° N. This makes Ekeka the most southerly hurricane on record, in either the Atlantic Ocean or the Pacific Ocean.
• 2016 - Cyclone Stan makes landfall over Western Australia. Stan's remnants caused record breaking rainfall over South Australia.
