A Central Japan Railway Company 211-5000 series electric multiple unit train passes the Seiken-ji Temple on the Tōkaidō Main Line between Okitsu and Shimizu stations. The Tōkaidō Main Line, connecting Tōkyō and Kōbe stations, was relegated to a secondary role for local trains after the opening of high-speed Tōkaidō Shinkansen line in 1964, and today other than certain overnight services there are no passenger trains that run the full length of the old line.

Striking image in that a modern electrified railway is positioned so close to an apparently ancient temple. The catenary is a little distracting. - Zzrbiker (talk) 11:37, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
