Qian Xueshen

Tsien Hsue-shen is a rocket scientist who was a major contributor to the space programs of both the United States and the People's Republic of China. In 1943 he co-founded the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology. In the 1950s, after allegations were made that he was a communist and his security clearance was revoked, he eventually was deported to China where he went to work as head of the Chinese missile program.
