Career edit

Berlin practices criminal defense law[6][7][8] as his firm primarily represents individuals and corporations in white-collar and criminal matters.[9][10][11] He was previously an attorney with the law firm of Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps.[12]

He has litigated cases in both the state and federal courts. In 2020, Berlin defended a surety in a criminal matter against the US government seeking forfeiture of her assets and property for a minor violation of pre-trial release. The case culminated with a published federal decision where the court set aside the forfeiture and restored the defendant's right to her property.[13]

In 2014, he was named as one of the "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" by The National Trial Lawyers.[14] The firm was also included on the Super Lawyer listing in 2021, 2022, and 2023.[15]
