Palmer Creek (Big Creek tributary)

Palmer Creek is a stream in Iron County in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is a tributary of Big Creek.

The stream headwaters arise on the south flank of Taum Sauk Mountain at 37°32′08″N 90°43′13″W / 37.53556°N 90.72028°W / 37.53556; -90.72028[1] and an elevation of approximately 1220 feet.[2] The stream flows generally east for approximately two miles to its confluence with Big River south of Royal Gorge and adjacent to Missouri routes 72 and 21.[2] The confluence is at 37°31′45″N 90°41′13″W / 37.52917°N 90.68694°W / 37.52917; -90.68694 and an elevation of 942 feet.[1]

Palmer Creek the name Parmer is a corruption of Parmer, the surname of a pioneer citizen.[3]
