Opinium Research LLP is a market research consultancy established on 7 September 2007 as a Limited liability partnership.[1] Its registered headquarters are in London.

The company has an online community of 41,000 UK consumers and various B2B research panels.[2]

It is chiefly known in the UK for its full service market research consultancy for clients ranging from Itsu, Moneysupermarket, Santander to the London School of Economics and Canderel and its monthly voter intention polls on behalf of The Observer, The Guardian's Sunday editions. Opinium's most recent success came at the 2016 EU Referendum where they were the only agency to predict the eventual outcome.[3] However, along with other market research companies it failed to predict the outcome of the May 2015 election. As well as voting intention, Opinium also provide surveys of topical current event issues and legislators.[4]

Opinium is a member of the Market Research Society (MRS), ESOMAR[citation needed] and the British Polling Council (BPC).[5] Its managing director and member on the polling council is James Endersby.[6]
