Nihalgarh is a village in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Kapurthala, which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Nihalgarh. The village is administrated by a Sarpanch who is an elected representative of village as per the constitution of India and Panchayati raj (India).

Literacy rate of Nihalgarh is 78.14%, higher than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children in the age group 0–6 years is 49 which is 10.23% of the total population.
