Mario Guarente (born 2 December 1983) is an Italian politician.[1][2] Born in Potenza, he is the former local leader of the Movement for Autonomy from 2010 to 2014. In 2017, he joined the right-wing populist party Lega.[2] He was elected mayor of Potenza at the 2019 Italian local elections and took office on 20 June 2019.[1][3]
