Marieme Soda Lo (born 1966) is a Senegalese academic who lives in Canada. She founded the School of Cities at the University of Toronto, where she is the Director of African studies, and holds a professorial position in Women and Gender Studies.[1]

Early life and education

Marieme Lo was born in 1966 in Senegal.[2] Lo earned her licentiate from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, a MA from the University of Dakar and MSc and PhD from Cornell University.[3]

Career

From 2018 to 2021, she served as the associate director for Education for the School of Cities at the University of Toronto.[3]
