Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (Marathi: महाराष्ट्र राष्ट्रीय विधी विद्यापीठ, मुंबई) (also MNLU Mumbai) is a National Law University located at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is the latest of the National Law Schools established in India by The Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014, passed by Maharashtra Legislature under the Maharashtra Act No VI of 2014.

Academics

Undergraduate

MNLU Mumbai offers a five year integrated B.A LL.B.(Hons.) Course. For admissions to the university, the students appeared for MNLUAT which was conducted by NLU Mumbai. The first MNLUAT was conducted on 7 June 2015 and received approximately 3000 applications. There are roughly 60 seats in the university for undergraduate program out of which only top 25 students were selected from general category.[citation needed] The first undergraduate batch will graduate in 2020.

Postgraduate

MNLU Mumbai offers a one-year postgraduate LL.M. in Law Pedagogy & Research program to ten students. Additional two seats considered for admissions to NRI / NRI Sponsored candidates .Students are selected through MNLUAT.[citation needed]. The Test was Conducted on 7th June 2015 at various centers in the state . Among number of students 8 of the best students were selected to be part of the first batch of LLM of NLU-Mumbai.

Infrastructure

MNLU Mumbai shares its campus with Tata Institute of Social Sciences,Mumbai. TISS has extended the support to MNLU Mumbai by opening all its academic frontier including Faculty/Library Support.
