Lucy Shepherd (born 14 November 1998)[1] is an English professional soccer player from Worcestershire, England, who currently plays as a forward for the Dallas Trinity FC in the USL Super League.

College career
editHofstra Pride, 2017–2021
editShepherd joined Hofstra in 2017, Hofstra had just finished a 4-5 record the season before in the Coastal Athletic Association. Shepherd would go on to help lead Hofstra to four straight conference titles in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. She also helped the Pride reach the second round of the NCAA Women's Division 1 Tournament three times.[2][3]
Professional career
editShepherd was selected as the #23 pick overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2022 NWSL Draft, making her Hofstra's third player in program history to be drafted.[4] Shepherd joined the Spirit for a preseason camp but did not make the final roster.
London City Lionesses, 2022–2023
editIt was announced on 20 August 2022 that Shepherd would join the London City Lionesses. Her addition helped the Lionesses finish 3rd in the 2022-23 Women's Championship league table earning 45 points only 3 points behind league winners Bristol City.[2]
Blackburn Rovers, 2023–2024
editOn 22 August 2023, Shepherd joined Blackburn Rovers. Her efforts earned her the Player of the Year Award, voted on by Blackburn fans.[5]
Dallas Trinity FC, 2024–present
editOn 1 July 2024, Shepherd agreed to join with the newly formed Dallas Trinity FC in preparation for the inaugural USL Super League season.[5]

editShe graduated with a Bachelors degree in Finance from Hofstra.[6]
