Love Is All We Have to Give is the first studio album by Checkmates, Ltd., released in 1969, and their second overall album after the 1967 live album Live! at Caesar's Palace. Love Is All We Have to Give reached No. 178 on the Billboard Top LPs chart.[3]
The album featured four singles: "Black Pearl", which reached No. 8 on the R&B chart and No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100,[4] "Proud Mary", which reached No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100,[5] "Love Is All I Have to Give" which reached No. 65 on the Hot 100, and "I Keep Forgettin'" which did not chart on the pop chart.
