Six memorials stones commemorate boys who lived and/ or died at St. Patrick's Industrial School on the Kells Road near Kilkenny. According to a former resident, it is very likely that the number is actually much higher, because some of the boys might not have been recorded. There is also one woman ("Mrs. Kelly") mentioned on one of the memorial stones.
Due to privacy reasons, only the people recorded who died more than 100 years ago will appear in this list which will have to be updated annually accordingly.

A Sarah Byrne who might be identical with the woman witnessing deaths between 1881 and 1894 is living at 40 Upper Patrick Street in 1901, aged 29 and married to William Byrne.[37]
There is no Ellen Lalor recorded in the 1901 census in Kilkenny city.
Johanna Campion can be found in the 1901 census as being the head of household at 21.1 Hospital Road (the old name for Wolfe Tone Street, so either the Fever Hospital or the County Infirmary at Johns' Green), presumably as head nurse.[38]
Annie or Anne Hickey who witnessed deaths at St Patrick's from at least 1903 to 1908 can be found as a nurse aged 28 from Co. Kerry in the 1911 census working at house no. 1 in Newtown[39] which explains why her last witnessing a death at St. Patrick's is in 1908. There is an Annie Hickey aged 17 in the 1901 census living in Pennefeather Lane working as a dressmaker apprentice, but the family is not from Co. Kerry,[40] so they are most likely not identical. There is a Rose Anne Hickey living as a farmer's daughter in Gortnaglough, Co. Kerry, according to the 1901 census[41] who is no longer living there in 1911.
