The manuscript was written by one Theodor, a calligrapher.[4]

Of the early history of the codex nothing is known.

The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scrivener (number 224) and Gregory (number 230). Gregory saw it in 1883.[4] It was examined by S. T. Bloomfield.[5]

The manuscript is sporadically cited in the critical editions of the Greek New Testament (UBS3).[6]

Formerly it was held in Lambeth Palace. Currently the codex is housed at the Antiquariat Christi (1188) in London.[1][2]
