Lakhan Kalan is a village in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. Kalan is Persian language word which means Big. It is located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from Kapurthala, which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Lakhan Kalan. The village is administrated by a Sarpanch, who is the elected representative of the area as per the constitution of India and Panchayati raj (India).
