Early life and high school
editMartin attended Canutillo High School located in Canutillo, Texas. During Martin's senior season he rushed for 2,137 yards and 23 touchdowns, while also making 15 catches for 376 yards and six touchdowns.[1] Coming out of high school, Martin was rated as a four star recruit, where he held offers from schools such as BYU, Stanford, Texas Tech, Air Force, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, and Colorado State.[2][3] Initially, Martin had decided to commit to play college football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders.[4][5] However, Martin would flip his commitment to play for the Stanford Cardinal.[6][7] Then finally on signing day, Martin would again flip his commitment, this time to play for the BYU Cougars.[8][9]
College career
editDuring Martin's first collegiate game in week one of the 2023 season he rushed for 91 yards on 16 carries, as he helped the Cougars to a win over the Sam Houston State.[10] In week three, Martin rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.[11] Martin finsished his first collegaite season rushing for 518 yards and four touchdowns on 109 carries, while also hauling in 11 receptions for 45 yards and one touchdown.[12][13]
