Kyra Belan ( born 1947) is a visual artist, author and women's rights advocate known for her visual language and artistic political activism.

Life and education

Belan's doctoral dissertation, completed in 1992, is entitled "The Effect of Sexist Attitudes on the Perception of Visual Artists by Community College and University Students."[1]
