Konstantin Ivanovich Monsterov (Russian: Константин Монстров Иванович) (1874-February 1920) was a commander of the Peasant Army of Fergana.

Biography
editHe was born in 1874 in Syzran and had three children. He moved to Turkestan in the early 1910s, and in 1914, he became the owner of a large plot of land in Fergana. In 1918, he was elected as the commander of the Peasant Army of Fergana and primarily fought against the Basmachi bandits.[1] However, due to the establishment of Soviet power in Turkestan in late August 1919, he concluded an agreement with the Basmachi warlord, Medamin Bek. In early September, he achieved his greatest victory in Osh and defeated a Soviet counterattack two days later. On the 10th, he besieged Andijan but was defeated by the Kazan Regiment of the Transcaspian Front. Two days later after the defeat at Andijan, the Red Army recaptured Osh, and on the 30th, Jalalabad fell to the Red Army. He continued to lose engagements with the Red Army and surrendered by late January 1920. His fate is unknown; some sources claim that he was executed in February 1920.[2] While other sources say otherwise.[3]
