Kisii County is a county in the former Nyanza Province in southwestern Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Kisii. The county is inhabited mostly by the Gusii people. Kisii County has 1462 registered schools, 360 being secondary schools, and 1102 being primary schools, as well as thirty-six tertiary institutions.
