Kanjuruhan Stadium

Stadion Kanjuruhan is a multi-purpose stadium in Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 42,449.[1] It is home of Arema, football team in Liga 1. It is also used by Persekam Metro Kabupaten Malang for home in Liga 3 .

HistoryEdit

Stadium was built in 1997 with construction cost was estimated at Rp35 billion. On 9 June 2004, the stadium was inaugurated for use by President Megawati Soekarnoputri, when the opening was held a competition match 2004 Indonesian First Division League between Arema and PSS Sleman.[2]

RenovationsEdit

It was also renovated in 2010 for the purposes of the AFC Champions League in terms of adding lighting power.
