J.W. Oliver Jr. (born March 31, 1965) is an American entrepreneur and businessman known for his ventures in dental equipment, global insourcing, and real estate. He is recognized for helping organizations leverage remote and virtual teams to enhance organizational efficiency.[1][2][3] JW serves as the Managing Partner of SupportDDS and ZimWorX.[4][5][6]

Early life and education

J.W. Oliver Jr. was born in Evreux, France, where his father, Master Sergeant James Wade Oliver Sr., was stationed at Dreux Air Force Base.[6] Following his parents' divorce, he moved with his mother and siblings to Wichita Falls, Texas. He attended schools in Wichita Falls and pursued higher education at Texas Tech University and Midwestern State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and English.

Career

JW started his career with ventures in carpet cleaning and operating a skateboard park during his college years. He later founded a dental equipment company, which evolved into Regional Dental through innovative marketing strategies.[7][8]

In 2015, JW co-founded a Tech company ZimWorX (formerly Global BP Solutions) with Kenneth Sharpe.[9][10][11][12] ZimWorX provides insourcing services with remote and virtual teams for global businesses.[13][3] The company has expanded its operations to Zimbabwe, Costa Rica, and Zambia.[14][12]

In 2018, JW established SupportDDS, a dental outsourcing company serving practices in North America and Europe.[15][16][17][18] The company employs virtual dental professionals primarily from Africa, focusing on cost-effective solutions and ethical recruitment practices.

JW is a founding member and current Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in Zimbabwe.[19][9][20] He also serves on the boards of Global Action and West Properties, a leading property development company in Zimbabwe.[6][21]

Philanthropy

JW supports community development through initiatives like The 51 and contributes to sustainable projects in Africa and Haiti through Global Impact initiatives.[1][11][12]

Personal life

JW is married to Lori and has two children. He completed Ironman races and treks at Machu Picchu and Mount Everest.[4][21]
