Hartley Douglas Dent (February 15, 1929 – July 10, 1993) was a Canadian politician. After unsuccessful bids in the 1966 provincial election and a subsequent 1966 provincial byelection, both in the constituency of Cariboo, he served in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1972 to 1975, as a NDP member for the constituency of Skeena.[1] During his three years in office, he also served as the deputy speaker of the Legislature.
