Hailey Davidson (born November 10, 2000)[1] is an American professional soccer player from Prosper, Texas, who currently plays as a defender for the Dallas Trinity FC in the USL Super League.

College career
editIn 2018, Davidson began her college soccer career at the University of Oklahoma. As a freshman, she started 13 games for the Sooners. In her sophomore year, Davidson made 20 appearances, further establishing herself as a key player for the team.[2]
In 2020, Davidson transferred to the University of Pittsburgh and became a regular starter in the Panthers' backfield. In her final season with the Panthers in 2022, Davidson played a crucial role in leading the team to its most successful season in program history, achieving a total of 14 wins and their first ever NCAA women's soccer tournament appearance, where they lost to Florida State in the round of 16.[3]
Professional career
editDavidson went undrafted in the 2023 NWSL Draft but joined Mallbacken of the Swedish Elitettan in March 2023. Davidson would eventually sign with the Wellington Phoenix FC in New Zealand on August 2023 becoming the second ever American signee to play for the club after Hope Breslin.[1]
On June 3, 2024, Davidson agreed to join with the newly formed Dallas Trinity FC becoming the club's second signing after Amber Brooks in preparation for the inaugural USL Super League season.

editPitt Assistant Head Coach Ben Waldrum is quoted as saying: “Hailey is the definition of a competitor. She has a passion for the game and puts the extra time into making her game better."[4]
Personal life
editDavidson is a native of Prosper, Texas, and played for Prosper High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
