Reception

edit

The Palm Beach Post said it was an "embarassingly poor sexploitation parody... horrendous."[3] DVD Talk said, "Other than sporting a decent conceit, there's little else to recommend this movie."[4] Psychotronic Video called it "a senseless, tastless, crude porno parody of Jaws with terrible dubbing, but Theodore as “Captain Carl Clitoris”, the Quint character gets to dress like a Nazi and rant uncontrolably... Unappealing hardcore scenes last only a few seconds."[2] Shock Cinema said "During its first release, this no-budget softcore-version of Jaws played midnight shows forever. But even if it sounds like a porno relic that might well be left forgotten, you’ll be shocked to discover just how watchably dopey it is, thanks to some savvy casting."[5]
