Françoise Jacquerod[1] is a Swiss alpine skier and Paralympic curler. She represented Switzerland in Paralympic alpine skiing at the 1988 Paralympic Winter Games, winning two gold medals,[2] and in wheelchair curling at the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games .
Career
editAt the 1988 Innsbruck Paralympic Winter Games, Jacquerod took 1st place in the giant slalom in 1:14.65, in front of Marilyn Hamilton , silver medalist, who finished the race in 1:39.48, and Emiko Ikeda , bronze in 1:52.32.[3] In the women's slalom, she won the gold medal ahead of Emiko Ikeda, and Marilyn Hamilton.[4] Both races took place in the LW10 class.
At the 2022 Beijing Paralympics, she competed for Switzerland in the wheelchair curling tournament .[5] The team won only one match and finished 11th out of 11 teams. She tested positive for Hydrochlorothiazide, and accepted a six-month ban.[6][7]
