This map needs to be redrawn. Ottoman territories are OK . But the nominal territory doesn't reflect the real situation. Both Egypt-Sudan and Cyprus were British colonies. Ottoman Empire had absolutely no control on these territories. For example, In the Italo-Turkish War (1911-1912) Ottoman Empire was unable to send troops to Libya over (so called nominal Ottoman territory) Egypt. Because the British government refused Ottoman request for a free passage. On the other hand, I have no idea of the nominal region at the south of Arabian Peninsula. Nominal means : only on paper. Yes the Ottoman Empire did not control those areas, but they were still Ottoman territories on paper. Thus: Nominal Ottoman territories under British occupation. I made this map according to another map http://ottomanmilitary.devhub.com/img/upload/rfdgrtgdertgedrtge.jpg On that map those areas are shown. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DragonTiger23 (talkcontribs) 21:31, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Then this map should be replaced with a neutral and objective map, not one defined by the Ottoman perspective. Delete and replace this picture with an unbiased one.--76.110.169.129 (talk) 07:25, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
