Contested deletion
editThis file should not be speedy deleted as having an invalid fair-use claim, because under wp:NFC#UUI, it states that files should only be deleted if the subject is alive. Karen is dead and a free image cannot be uploaded for her. – Meena • 23:13, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Meena, that is not the reason why this file has been tagged. Please read the tag. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 23:16, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- I read the tag. "Not the subject of sourced commentary" I've been on here for 4 years yet have no clue what this actually means? Please explain in basic terms so I can attempt to rectify it as opposed to leaving an article without an image. – Meena • 23:22, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- The image is credited at the source to the Press Association (PA), which is a commercial source like the Associated Press. Per WP:CSD#F7, images created by commercial sources should not be used unless the images themselves are the subject of sourced commentary. The image can be easily replaced with File:Sal Martin.jpg (with a caption explaining this is her in a part), so the article won't be left without an image. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 23:28, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
