overlapping edit

Wait...Why isn't 6 overlapped by 2 and 3, while numbers like 12, 30 and 24 are? SpencerT♦C 03:16, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I want to do the same comment of Spencer. Overlapped 6 is better IMHO --82.56.93.24 (talk) 11:17, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

aw jeez who cares Bakalakadaka (talk) 05:41, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

it's somewhat distracting for me, the overlapping (or lack thereof) of 6 and 14, for example.. it should at least be consistent! 82.6.96.66 (talk) 12:34, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Look at the article: you can start the marking for a prime N at  , because any smaller composite number would already have been marked by a smaller prime. --Tardis (talk) 19:36, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think it is confusing as it stands. While technically correct, I think it needs to be consistent for the purpose of illustration. But let's admit it, this is a grand anim. I wish all wikipedia was like this.-- hɑkeem¡ʇuɐɹɯǝǝʞɐɥ 18:41, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm glad this is a featured pic - I saw this at the primes article and was going to nominate it. Great work. Tempshill (talk) 17:29, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Avoid overcoloring seived numbers edit

Please don't reseive numbers! If something is even, it need not be colored again to indicate it is also a multiple of three. If you are displaying the seive in series, don't recalculate... the resulting visual pattern will also be more comprehensible to the viewer. And avoiding recalculating finesses the question of whether to start "at N2" or not. +sj + 10:22, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can someone remake this image? It really bothers me whenever I see it that the coloring patterns are inconsistent in this way... I wish I knew how it was made so I could contribute directly. +sj + 10:23, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I uploaded a new revision of it at commons, I assume it updates by itself eventually? also, why is the project banner about Greece? -- 6Sixx (talk) 14:13, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
