Symtemtic position: Fabrosauridae, Ornithopoda, Ornithischia. Locality: Dashanpu, Zigong, Sichuan, China. Age: Middle Jurassic (about 160 million years ago).

Skeleton of Agilisaurus louderbacki, a small ornithopod dinosaur in its burial condition, includes its well-preserved skull. It is the best-preserved small ornithopod dinosaur so far known in th world and has important significance in studying the early evolution of ornithopod dinosaurs.
