ENGLISH: Hello, how are you? My name is Christian, I am 17 years old, and I speak French, but I think that my French is different than yours. Some people from France or the other (Francophone) countries tell me that my language, it is a little bit trashy or vulgar and I can see why the say that. It is a little bit true! I am from NH in New England and what I find is that there is a lot of dialects in this region. There is the Quebecker French, the New Brunswick French, if you want, and the cities of upper NH have their unique language, maybe. This French is called Berlin Frenglish, because people change their language in conversation, so there is French and English in one conversation. So, me! I am from the Berlin (pronounced like BUR-lin not bur-LIN like in Germany) region, next to the Androscoggin river. Languages are my passion and because of that I have learned French correctly also. And Portuguese. And Afrikaans. I am going to go to college next year for Political Sciences. The Upper NH French is a very important part of history and culture. It is a possibility that the language will die because there is almost no youth like me who speak it. It's something some sad, but yeah. You can not tell me that I speak badly. I speak differently. I am very sorry if there is a person who hates the people from other countries, like me, who speak French. I know a person who hates the Quebeckers and the French Americans, and that annoys me a lot! Like, I am sorry that I am not Parisian. But there are not a lot of people like that, THANK GOD. So, that is that. Thank you!
