English: This temple was constructed in the Valley of the Lions by Rameses II (about 1250 B.C.) in honour of the gods Amon Ra and Ra Harmakhis. The back of the temple is hollowed out in the rock. In the foreground, the king's statue and a dromos of sphinxes which have giver the place its Arabic name
Français : Temple construit dans la Vallée des Lions par le pharaon Ramsès II (environ 1250 avant J.C.) en l'honneur des dieux Amon Rê et Rê Harmakhis. La partie arrière a été creuséé dans le rocher. Devant le temple, la statue du roi et un dromos de sphinx qui ont donné le nom arabe à l'endroit.
