Description The Copyright law of Switzerland of 1922, in its original text; digitized by the Swiss Federal Archive. Note: this is a historic law. It was in force from 1 July 1923 to 30 June 1993. The 1922 law replaced an earlier copyright law of 1883, and was itself revised in 1955, when the copyright term was extended from 30 to 50 years. In 1993, it was replaced by a new copyright law with a copyright term of 70 years. Both copyright extensions applied only to works that were still copyrighted by the older law when the extension entered in force.
