Français : Monument à Rome pour l'Affaire de la garde corse.
English: Monument in Rome for the Corsican Guard Affair/Affaire de la garde corse of Pope Alexander VII and Charles III de Créquy, the French ambassador in Rome. In the Treaty of Pisa King of 12 February 1664 Louis XIV of France exacted apologies by the Pope, dissolution of the Corsian guard and the erection of a monument at the location of the attack on de Créquy in Rome. Latin text on the monument as shown here:

Oratorem Regis Christianissimi
A Militibus Corsis
XIII. Kal. Sep. A. MDC.LXII. patrati
Corsica Natio inhabilis et incapax
Ad Sedi Apostolicae inserviendum
ex Decreto jussu
Smi. D.N. Alexandri Pont. Max.
Edito
In executionem concordiae Pisis initae
Ad perpetuam rei memoriam
Declarata est
Anno M.DC.LXIIII.

(Translation: In execration of the heinous deeds against the excellent Duke de Créquy, ambassador for the most Christian King, perpetrated on 20 August (XIII. kal. Sep.) 1662 by Corsican soldiers, the nation of Corsica has been declared unfit and unable to serve the Holy Seat, in a decree of Pope Alexander in accordance with the Treaty of Pisa in eternal memory of the case, in 1664.)

It seems Pope Clemens IX demolished the monument in 1668 (Affaire de la garde corse).
Nederlands: Monument in Rome als genoegdoening voor de Affaire van de Corsicaanse Garde van Paus Alexander IX en Louis XIV. Opgericht in 1664 werd het in 1668 weer afgebroken.
