Summary

Description Primatene Mist (epinephrine) will no longer be available after Dec. 31, 2011. This over-the-counter asthma inhaler uses chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) to move the medicine out of the inhaler so patients can breathe the medicine into their lungs. The United States and most other countries have signed an international agreement to phase out CFCs because they decrease the earth’s ozone layer, which helps protect us from harmful ultraviolet radiation.
