Summary

Description
English: Millennium monument, St John's Church, Devizes. This is the reverse view and shows more Devizes scenarios. At the very top is a newly-married couple with, beneath the cross-piece, a mother and child feeding swans, scenes from the English Civil War battle of Roundway Down complete with soldiery tumbling into Bloody Ditch LinkExternal link and, at the foot, what appears to be a judge carrying an axe about to take a hands-on approach to carrying out a death sentence (my interpretation of that one might be open to question).
