English: This panoramic radiography illustrates a very rare condition: the dental arch of a 37 years old man who has both a remaining lower right second premolar milk-tooth and, underneath it, a permanent, impacted inverted second premolar which pierces the jaw's lower right portion. The patient is asymptomatic for more than a decade and the impacted tooth is healthy, stable, still and not weakening the surrounding mandibular bone. Thus, a surgical intervention was ruled out. Português: Essa radiografia panorâmica ilustra uma condição bastante rara: a arcada dentária de um homem de 37 anos de idade que ainda possui um dente de leite (o segundo pré-molar inferior direito) e também um segundo pré-molar permanente que se encontra incluso e invertido logo abaixo do dente de leite. O dente incluso atravessou o osso da mandíbula, porém o paciente encontra-se assintomático há mais de uma década e o dente incluso encontra-se estável, saudável, imóvel e não está enfraquecendo a estrutura óssea mandibular. Consequentemente, a intervenção cirúrgica foi descartada. |
