DescriptionMammalian Titin Structure from the relaxed thick filament.tif
English: Artistical representation of the work reported in "Tamborrini et at. 2023 (Nature)" - https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-023-06690-5. The thin (green) and thick filament from native mammalian cardiac tissue. Myosin is in blue, MyBP-C is in yellow, and titin is in two shades of red (dark red for titin-alpha and light red for titin-beta). In the C-zone, depicted here, we find three pairs of titin chains running parallel to each other along the axis of the thick filament - showing the 11x super-repeat pattern.
