DescriptionGateway North MAX station on its first day of service, March 2024.jpg
The new Gateway North MAX light rail station in Portland, Oregon, on its first day of use – March 4, 2024. Served only by southbound/westbound Red Line trains, the new station is part of the Gateway Transit Center complex, which has three other MAX platforms (including for the eastbound/northbound Red Line). It is sometimes considered a separate station and sometimes only a separate (and newer) platform of the 1986-opened Gateway station. A train led by Type 2 car 232 is pulling into the platform, bound for Beaverton. Rocky Butte is visible in the distance.
